Kate Beckinsale’s Ex-Boyfriend Matt Rife Offers Up Advice to Pete Davidson: ‘Run!’
A bad romance? Kate Beckinsale’s ex-boyfriend Matt Rife warned the model’s new fling, Pete Davidson about her. “Advice for Pete? Man to man … run,” the 23-year-old said in an interview on Monday, March 4. “Enjoy it while you can. I hope they’re both happy. I hope that it can build to where it’s an established, good relationship.” Despite his interesting remarks, he added that he wishes both the actress, 45, and the SNL star, 25, “the best.”
The MTV personality hinted that things weren’t exactly perfect while he was seeing the brunette beauty. “We dated for a year … it was complicated,” he admitted. “For sure. A lot of ups and downs. But she’s moved on.”
He continued, “I hope they’re happy. I don’t have any solid advice. Just be careful.”
After the U.K. native finalized her divorce from ex-husband Len Wiseman, she was spotted with the Wild ‘n Out cast member in 2017. However, their fling fizzled out and they broke up a year later.
In January 2019, Pete and Kate made headlines when they left a Golden Globes afterparty together. Since then, the duo has been seen at various events together holding hands and showing some PDA. Neither has addressed their relationship status, but it’s clear that these two are very into each other.
“Pete only has eyes for Kate,” an insider told Us Weekly. “She’s cool and fun. It’s long distance, but they’re taking it slow.”
On Sunday, March 3, the lovebirds watched the Rangers Game in New York City and couldn’t stop making out! “They have an incredibly physical connection,” the source continued. “She makes him laugh. He thinks she’s great and really smart.”
It’s refreshing to see the Staten Island native so happy since he had a rough year — he was engaged to Ariana Grande, but their relationship only lasted for four months. Now, it seems like Kate is just what the doctor ordered. “Kate has really helped Pete get over his breakup with Ariana Grande,” an insider exclusively told In Touch.
Welp, don’t listen to the haters, right?!
