Things may not have worked out for them as a couple, but Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin will always be in each other’s lives. Still, according to a relationship expert, things will always be a struggle for them. We sat down with Dr. Venus Nicolino, one of the professionals from Marriage Boot Camp, and let’s just say she wasn’t exactly hopeful for the Teen Mom 2 stars’ relationship. Watch the video above to see what she had to say, and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

We’ve seen plenty of drama shake out between the two, but hearing it from Dr. V herself makes it real. After all, she doesn’t just have a PhD. in clinical psychology and a master’s degree in counseling psychology, plus a new book called Bad Advice: How To Survive & Thrive in an Age of Bulls–t, she also knows the couple first hand. When they were on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, they struggled to work through their relationship problems with the help of Dr. V. At the time, it seemed that she pretty much accepted that the couple wouldn’t work out in the traditional sense — but she still wanted to help them coparent together in a healthy way.

“How can the two of [them] coparent without all this other stuff around?” Dr. V asks. “I think the two of them will always have this combative chemistry,” she says. So what does Dr. V see for their future? Well, there’s going to be plenty of ups and downs along the way. And we’ve already seen a little bit of that. From Kail and Javi’s new lady, Lauren Comeau, silently snubbing at each other during Lincoln’s soccer games to the tension the exes have shared over the mom’s new book, there’s always some drama. Hopefully, one day they’ll be able to work it out. And if they need more advice, well, Dr. V always gives the best.
