Don’t get it twisted! Tyler Baltierra seemingly admitted that he wished he had more sex, with more women, before meeting his wife,Catelynn Lowell. After fans expressed their utmost shock, the Teen Mom OG star took to social media to clear the air about the remarks he made on the episode that aired on December 3. “Wow…I never knew about this scene with my dad [and] @CatelynnLowell. You people can say all you want about her, but you have NO IDEA what we went through as kids! The fact we’re both still alive, not in prison or drug addicts, still surprises me. We have a bond that’s unexplainable,” Tyler, 27, tweeted in response to the episode.

“Listen…I don’t want to be with other women. Have I ever thought about it? Well, DUH! Everyone would be lying if they said they never have, especially when in a long term relationship,” he continued. “About her being 21/19, I meant that genuinely because that was before her mental health stuff.

It seems like Ty felt the need to defend himself after getting backlash online from fans.

Ty made his statement about being with other women during one particular scene with his dad, Butch Baltierra.

After asking Tyler about the issues that he’s been struggling with in his marriage, Butch asked, if Tyler ever thought about or wished that he had been with more women besides his wife.

“F–k yeah,” Tyler admitted. “I want Cate when we were 20, 21, 19 …”

Cate, 26, and Tyler were one of the very first Teen Mom couples, and they really have been together since middle school.

They placed their daughter, Carly, for adoption when they were teenagers. Now, they’re married and are raising their second daughter, Nova.

They’re also expecting again, and are trying to work on their issues throughout the pregnancy.

Tyler told his father during the Teen Mom episode that even though they found out that they were going to be parents again, Cate’s unexpected pregnancy was not going to stop them from going through with a trial separation.

“Does that stop or hinder the process we’re doing? Absolutely not. This new house is going to be done. Once that happens, that’s when we’re going to do our trial separation. We’re going to live separate,” Tyler said.

Earlier in the season, Cate explained why Tyler wanted to go through with a trial separation.

“Tyler has been frustrated in our marriage for a while and has been seeing a therapist…He decided he wanted to try to live separately for a month,” she said.
