John David Duggar Has Reportedly Been Bailing on Church Ever Since He Began Courting
Uh oh — John David Duggar is reportedly bailing on church now that he has a significant other. The Counting On star recently announced that he's courting Abbie Grace Burnett, and apparently, he's pushing his first true love (God) to the side. Watch the video above for more deets!
A source close to the famous TLC family told Radar Online that JD isn't the only one who's ditched the family's Sunday tradition, though; all of the kids do when they start seeing someone. "They're always missing from church when they've started dating," the insider dished. They added that the same thing happened when Josiah and Lauren got together last year. "John David has not been at church" ever since "Abbie showed up," they continued.
Recently, the pair has been breaking all sorts of Duggar rules — like sharing a joint Instagram account. Not to mention, they've been getting pretty handsy in recent pics and Abbie has been spotted wearing pants. Say WHAT?! Plus, according to photos obtained by the anti-Duggar Facebook account Duggar Family News: Life Is Not All Pickles and Hairspray, "John grabbed Abbie's a–" during a recent (unchaperoned) date to Walmart. Oh. Em. Gee.
On June 26, John and his girlfriend confirmed they were courting to Us Weekly. "Abbie and I are just so excited, we've known of each other for several years," John told the outlet. "We fell in love very quickly… It's been a wonderful journey thus far."
The couple met when John David flew in for a church event in Oklahoma. "We really got connected then," Abbie said. In other words, JD can take a plane to church if it means he'll see a cute girl but won't drive down the street to meet his family. Ouch. Sorry, Jim Bob!
