They’re getting cute and cozy! John David Duggar and Abbie Grace Burnett got engaged in July (just one month after they announced their courtship) and now, they can’t stop posting PDA pics on social media. After taking a nearly two-month hiatus from their joint Instagram account — possibly to plan their November wedding — John and Abbie returned for a set of two PDA-packed photos and fans noticed that they broke a major Duggar courting rule in the first shot.

“Even if I spend the whole day with you, I miss you the second you leave. #mygreatestadventureisyou,” the caption read. In the shot, John, 28, and Abbie, 26, were almost in a full-frontal hug with his hands around Abbie’s waist and Abbie’s hand on John’s chest. That type of contact goes against the Duggar family’s rules that state courting or engaged couples should only give each other side hugs in order to keep themselves modest and pure as they abstain from sex until marriage.

Fans flooded the comments to praise the couple for breaking the rules. “So happy to see front hugs!” one fan wrote, while another commented, “Cute. But looks like that’s a front hug. No side hugging for you guys?”

This isn’t the first time the John and Abbie got super handsy with each other. Back in July, they shared a cute snap taken while they were flying in the air together, which marks their fourth post ever on social media.

In the shot, Abbie had her arm around John and she smiled wide into the camera while her man piloted the plane. “Exploring cloud nine :)” they wrote in the caption.

Exploring cloud nine 🙂

Fans flooded the comments, and many of them seemed happy that John David has finally found himself a young woman to court. “Adorable caption!! Cute couple!” one person wrote. Another added, “I’m glad John finally met ‘the one.’ Nice looking couple.” A third chimed in, “So happy for you both, wishing you a lifetime of happiness and love!!!”

At 28 years old, John David and his twin sister Jana Duggar are both considered a little “old” in the Christian dating scene. Since the Duggars are fundamentalist Christians, they don’t believe in sex before marriage and it’s not uncommon for children to marry young — their little sister Joy-Anna was only 19 years old when she married her husband Austin Forsyth last May. There was a lot of speculation as to why John David and Jana had remained single while their younger siblings were marrying off, and it seems like they both were just waiting patiently for the right person to come along.

John even addressed his singledom in the caption of his very first Instagram photo with Abbie. “So, I reconsidered the whole ‘bachelor ‘til the rapture’ thing,” he wrote, quoting a popular quote that Christians use to describe men who seem like they will remain single forever.
