His poor mama! Joe Giudice from Real Housewives of New Jersey may be facing deportation, but he’s not the only one struggling in his family. His mother, Filomena Giudice, filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in both 2017 and 2018, Radar Online reported on April 30. The 2018 case is ongoing, which has got to be an added stress in addition to the deportation turmoil. Scroll through our gallery below to learn more.

Tough Times
It’s been a tough road for Joe, 46, and his family, including wife Teresa Giudice.

Deportation
But that was far from the end of the situation for Joe. On October 10, 2018, he was ordered by an immigration judge to be deported.

Denied
Joe’s legal team filed a petition for the federal court to review the decision but that deportation appeal was officially denied, In Touch confirmed on April 18.

Continue the Fight
“We are extremely disappointed that the Board Of Immigration Appeals has denied Mr. Giudice’s appeal,” James J. Leonard Jr., the Giudice family attorney, said in a statement obtained by In Touch. “We have filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court Of Appeals and will continue to fight to keep Mr. Giudice in the United States, the only country he knows, and reunite him with his wife and four daughters.”

Is It Over?
So how is Teresa dealing with this whole thing? Well, she told Andy Cohen that the couple would probably split up if her husband had to leave the country. “I mean, unless my kids say, mommy, I want to move to Italy,” the reality TV star said.

Not Doing It
She added, “I’m not doing a long-distance relationship. I’m not doing it.” That seems pretty definitive.

Dealing
And if Joe thought his mom would be totally in his corner supporting him through all of this, he might be wrong. Not because she wouldn’t want to, but because it sounds like she’s dealing with a lot, too.

In Debt

New Jersey court records exclusively obtained by Radar show that her debt includes $1,076,000 in mortgage payments. Yikes!

Dismissed
The 2017 filing was dismissed, but she’s still dealing with the 2018 case in addition to everything that’s going on with her son. It’s got to be a lot on her shoulders.

Not Out of the Woods
Teresa and Joe also filed for bankruptcy before both were sentenced to prison for fraud charges, Radar noted. Their case was dismissed as well, but they clearly didn’t come through that mess unscathed.

Pleading
Radar previously reported that Filomena really struggled with her son’s possible deportation. In a letter she submitted to federal court, she pleaded with the immigration judge to let Joe stay in the U.S. “I am widow with a broken heart,” she wrote in the note. “I am a mother desperately seeking the day my son returns back home to me. I lost my husband a few years ago and then my son was also taken from me.”

Is There a Chance?
But Filomena might not get her wish. Although a judge granted Joe a “temporary administrative stay” until the court has time to remove his motion for a “stay of removal,” there’s still a good chance he will have to leave the country.

What Do You Think?
Joe’s family may indeed have to make do without him, all while dealing with other woes in their life like financial struggles.
