Almost two months after Justin Timberlake was spotted holding hands with his Palmer costar Alisha Wainwright, his wife, Jessica Biel, is not over the incident just yet. “Jessica still hasn’t forgiven Justin for his indiscretion in New Orleans,” a source told In Touch exclusively. “They came together for the sake of their marriage and their son, Silas, but their holidays were still very frosty.”
Even though the pop star, 38, claimed nothing happened between him and the 30-year-old actress while they were at the bar, the Hollywood A-listers are “working on saving their marriage,” the insider explained. “They’re like any couple dealing with a crisis in their relationship.”
However, their issues won’t be worked out in just one day. “It’s going to take some time for Jessica to fully forgive Justin,” the source noted. “He’s doing everything he can to put this behind him, and as far as I know, Jessica also wants to repair their partnership. Her family means everything to her, but this wasn’t something you just unpack and move on. Trust was broken and now it has to be rebuilt.”
Right before the holidays, a second source told In Touch that the 7th Heaven alum, 37, and her husband needed to “talk more about what happened” since she felt “so betrayed when she saw the photos.” Ultimately, the “SexyBack” singer has been focused on his family during this tough time. So much so, Justin left some flirty comments all over his wife’s Instagram video on December 16. “Need gift ideas for the yogi in your life?? I thought you might. My @gaiam gift guide is up on @amazon!” the brunette beauty wrote. In response, the Grammy winner left two heart emojis along with a heart-eyed emoji.
In November, Justin and Alisha were seen having a great time at a bar in New Orleans, where they are currently filming their new movie. In photos, Alisha had her hand on Justin’s lap. A few weeks later, the dad of one got candid about his mistakes on social media. “I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love,” he wrote on December 4. “A few weeks ago, I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me clear — nothing happened between me and my costar.” Justin also revealed he “drank way too much” during the outing and wasn’t being an appropriate role model for his son.
So, will the duo be able to kiss and make up? Hopefully! “Right now, Jessica is just taking it one day at a time,” the insider added. “She’s hopeful, but who knows what the future will hold for them.”
