Jessa Duggar’s First Home Is Cozy and Chic! Take a Tour Before They Move to Their Fixer-Upper!

Moving on! Counting On alum Jessa Seewald (née Duggar) has so many memories in her Arkansas-based home — but now she’s ready to move on to a bigger and better house with her husband, Ben Seewald. The couple originally moved into their Arkansas property in 2014, but after welcoming four children to the world, they were more than ready for a bigger space.

The reality TV couple enjoyed residing in the fairly modest two-bedroom 1,000-square foot home not too far from the main Duggar house. Jessa still has a special connection with the house because some of her siblings previously got together to remodel the abode when she and Ben were away on their honeymoon.

At the time, they renovated the kitchen by knocking out a wall, and they also spruced up the counters with granite in addition to replacing the cupboards. Jessa’s loved ones even replaced the carpet with hardwood and refinished the fireplace.

“Decided on a whim that I wanted to become more of a minimalist, and the first thing I wanted to do was to repaint our living room a lighter color,” Jessa shared about their property via Instagram in April 2019.

The mom of four, who shares sons Spurgeon and Henry as well as daughters Ivy Jane and Fern Elliana with Ben, previously gave fans a tour of their home in a February 2020 YouTube video. “First, a real-life look at our lived-in home on a typical morning,” she wrote in the caption. “Then a proper, tidied up house tour for the second half!”

Jessa told viewers then, that although she and Ben eventually want to relocate to a bigger abode, it will be really hard to “part ways” with their home. “People will ask me ‘when are y’all going to move into a bigger house? And aren’t you feeling cramped?’ And I feel like our house is still a pretty good fit and pretty good size for the five of us,” she said in the 2020 video.

“The kids are still so young that we can make it work pretty easily and also, I think I’m just really sentimental … but I just love our house. I mean this is where so many of our firsts have happened,” the TLC personality added. “This is our first house to buy. This is where all of our kids have been born and we’re raising them.”

However, with their growing family, it was clear the couple had to find some more space. In January 2022, the former 19 Kids and Counting star shared a YouTube video documenting her and Ben’s first steps in renovating a 2,000-square foot, three-bedroom home. The video, dated June 2021, showed a number of projects the couple planned to complete, along with the help of Jessa’s contractor brother, Jason Duggar.

Nearly a year later, Jessa gave fans a glimpse inside their newly renovated home that they are soon moving into at an unidentified date. “So, the house we’re moving out of — we’re planning to sell that property and people don’t want the house,” she explained in her July 2022 YouTube video before adding that one of her brothers is going to relocate her current home to a different property.

“Across the street from our current house, the city of Fayetteville is putting in a huge fire department, police department and so, someone’s interested in buying our land and several other pieces of land next to us for an ambulance service to go in there.”
