It’s time for a mother-son moment! After dad Ben Affleck took son Samuel out for a fun baseball game in Los Angeles, it was mom Jennifer Garner‘s turn. On Tuesday, March 12, the mom-of-three was spotted walking with her youngest after school. Together, they made the sweetest pair as they strolled hand-in-hand until they reached the car. It was nice for the two to get some time together.

Recently, Jen was seen hanging out with her two daughters, Violet and Seraphina. This time, she got a little one-on-one time with her favorite little man.

Samuel’s been busy lately.

In addition to baseball, he’s also undergone a total bedroom makeover thanks to his dad. Ben redid the room with everything related to Boston sports teams — including a football slide and a chair shaped like Tom Brady‘s head.

Jen didn’t love it.

“My ex-wife thinks it’s creepy,” Ben joked while talking about the project on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “I think it’s appropriate for grown men to make totems and idols out of other grown men.”

But does Sam like it?

And does that even matter? According to Ben, “The game before … the World Series game, I took my kids. … I was telling my [son] in particular, you know, ‘We’re really excited because we’re from Boston and this is a big deal and the Red Sox,’ and I’m giving him the whole history.”

Sam wasn’t so sure.

“He listens to me and then he stops and goes, Dad. You’re from Boston. I’m from L.A.,” Ben said before adding, “There’s a certain sort of tragic pain that you carry with you as a person from Boston that you expect to imbue to your children that they’re gonna carry on. Like, we suffer through the cold and the misery, and we lose big sporting events.”

He’ll come around.

The room will “[help] him understand where he comes from, if not literally, then at least spiritually,” Ben insisted. And hey, at least Tom Brady himself likes it! “He was very nice, he sent my son a football and a jersey, signed,” the father-of-three finished.

Jen and Ben have been getting along well lately.

Other than the debacle with the creepy Tom Brady shrine, they seem to be in a good place. They were even spotted out together just the two of them at the end of February, and of course they’re together plenty with the kids.

The star opened up about parenting in public.

And it’s not easy, even when you have all the resources that she and Ben do. “There were so many things you wouldn’t expect,” she explained in the March issue of WSJ Magazine. “We’d be left alone at Disneyland and then we would be at a park in Santa Monica. But if you love something, you’ll do whatever you need to do.”
