Jenelle Evans and David Eason Leave Court Hand-in-Hand After Kids Were Taken By CPS

Jenelle, 27, and David, 30, appeared in court on May 16, in hopes of regaining the custody of their kids. Jenelle has been stripped of all of her children after a CPS case was opened against her and David earlier this month.

The couple dressed up for the hearing, with Jenelle wearing dark slacks and a white top. David opted for a brown jacket with gray trousers.

Court Battle

Once the hearing was over, Jenelle and David were spotted holding hands. She walked in front of her husband while he looked back at the photographers.

Not Over Yet

The controversial pair made a quick exit. According to UsWeekly, Jenelle and David’s request to bring her kids immediately home was denied.

Jenelle and David are parents to five kids together total, but some are from different relationships.

Blended Family

Jenelle’s son Jace, 9, is fathered by her ex-boyfriend Andrew Lewis and her 4-year-old, Kaiser, is shared with ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith.

David has an 11-year-old daughter named Maryssa and a son named Kayden from previous relationships.

Facing Consequences

The reality star confirmed that Kaiser was picked up from daycare by his grandma, Doris, on May 10. “Kaiser was taken away Friday without my consent, before Mother’s Day, and I have been in touch with my lawyer pertaining this matter,” she told Us.

Fallout Continues

After the news broke about Nugget, child protective services ordered Kaiser to be removed from the home. They also told Jenelle’s mom, Barbara Evans, to keep Jace with her since she has custody of him.

Facing Backlash

It didn’t take long for authorities to take action with her other kids as well. “Ensley has been placed,” a source close to Jenelle told Radar on May 15. “Maryssa has also been taken.”

Shocking Ordeal

There’s been no shortage of drama surrounding the couple since it was revealed that David shot Jenelle’s French bulldog, Nugget. A male first reported the incident to 911 on April 30.

Firing Back

David later defended his decision to kill Nugget for “snapping” at their daughter, Ensley, on May 1. “You can hate me all you want, but this isn’t the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively. The only person that can judge [whether] or not a animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME,” he wrote in his lengthy statement on Instagram.

End of an Era

On May 7, MTV announced that they were “cutting ties” with Jenelle and would no longer be covering her story in the upcoming season. There was no clarification if the dog killing incident had anything to do with their decision.

Calling It Quits?

After Nugget’s passing, Jenelle released a statement revealing how heartbroken she is over the pooch’s death. Even though fans suspected Jenelle and David would split over the shocking ordeal, it looks like that’s not the case.
