Single Jana Duggar Sends A Wedding Care Package To Pal Carlin Bates
Poor Jana Duggar! The Counting On star may not be planning her own wedding, but she is helping to plan Carlin Bates‘! The 28-year-old — who is often criticized for not having a man in her life — sent the cutest lil’ care package to her pal.
“I feel much more prepared now,” the Bringing Up Bates star wrote on her Instagram Story. “Thhannnkkks [sic] a million for the package.” Although she didn’t give a shout-out to Jana directly (probably because she doesn’t have social media!), you can see she signed the card. So cute!
Not only did Jan-Jan ship the 20-year-old several books, but she also gave her a Starbucks gift card. Smart thinking, girl.
And speaking of shipping, fans have been trying to ship Jana and several Bates boys over the years with little success — perhaps because she reportedly “enjoys the company of women.” Many have long speculated a romance was brewing between Jana and her bestie, Laura DeMasie, since they were seen together on the hit TLC show, as well as various family trips and social media. In fact, they were even spotted at dinner together last week.
But before you get too excited, Jana’s brother-in-law Derick Dillard, 29, denied the speculation via Twitter in September. “Is Jana dating her friend Laura? There are tons of rumors flying. Set the record straight,” one fan asked, to which the former Counting On star replied: “Uh no.” Another addressed how his response didn’t completely shut down the rumors, writing: “Derick you should have put just ‘no,’ the ‘uh’ implies you don’t know lol, so this is not confirmation for the masses.”
That’s when Laura stepped in herself to set the record straight once and for all. “How about this then: No,” Laura chimed in.
The reality star — whose twin brother got engaged earlier this year — once opened up about her dating life to Crown of Beauty. “I know how it feels to wait for ‘Prince Charming’ to come along,” she told the outlet. “I’m still waiting. Waiting is not always easy. Especially in those times when all the married siblings are getting together and you can’t go along because your not part of ‘that’ group.”
Sorry, Jan! Someone get this girl on The Bachelorette. We think it’d be the perfect fit. In the meantime, at least she can tend to her garden?
