Fans Are Shipping Jana Duggar and Nathan Bates, and Honestly, We’re Here for It
Fans are playing matchmaker for Jana Duggar, and they think they've found the perfect guy for her! After noticing that Nathan Bates has been spending time with the Duggar clan — including Jana's twin bro John David — Duggar fans are hoping that he'll be Jana's next suitor! Watch the video above to see pics of their recent outing!
Nathan and Jana actually have a lot in common, like their failed courtships. Though Jana has never announced a courtship publicly, she has been linked to a few guys, including Caleb Williams, it's never panned out. Nathan has cut off a courtship too, so they're both definitely holding out for The One. "There have been different guys come along and ask but yeah it's just not… they haven't been the right one," said Jana. "I'm not just out to get married to the first one that comes along."
However, the biggest concern about Jana and Nathan is the fact that Jana is older than him. While she's 28, Nathan is just 24 years old. Therefore some fans question his maturity. "He's younger and most likely less mature," said someone on reddit. "I think Jana is too smart for Nathan Bates. He seems like a nice guy, but not the brightest bulb," complained another. However, a different fan pointed out that age isn't a dealbreaker for the Duggar gals, since Ben Seewald is younger than his wife Jessa.
Nathan seems like a really good guy, and a good match for our fave Duggar. He's a pilot, and when the hurricanes his Puerto Rico, he brought a plane down to help out. "Our first night, we flew into this little bitty airport," Nathan said on the show. "Everything's destroyed, planes everywhere. Power systems are destroyed, and the navigation systems. Like we were navigating off of like iPads." Thank god he was there to help! Maybe he'll be Jana's knight in shining armor too.
