January 2017

Britney made the relationship Instagram official when she shared a picture on New Year’s Day of the couple having dinner together. So sweet!

March 2017

The two celebrated Sam’s birthday together in March 2017. “My baby’s birthday” Britney captioned a photo of the two of them going hiking on March 3.

June 2017

Sam visited Britney in Japan during her Piece of Me tour in June 2017 and seemed to be spending more time with her and her family by that point.

Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, was hospitalized in November 2018 after suffering a ruptured colon. Sam stuck by Britney through the scary incident.

January 2019

Britney took an indefinite work hiatus due to her dad’s health issues in January 2019. “I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say,” she said on Instagram on January 4. “I will not be performing my new show Domination. Britney later checked into a wellness center for mental health in the midst of her dad’s health problems, sources confirmed to In Touch in April 2019. She checked out three weeks later. Her boyfriend stayed by her side through it all.

On May 17, 2019, after she had been checked out of the facility for a bit, Britney shared a lovely photo of herself with Sam and wrote, “I love this man.”
