She’s thinking of her father. Gia Giudice took to Instagram with a heartwarming message on March 14, shortly after her dad, Joe Giudice, was released from prison following a 41-month sentence. On March 14, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 46, was released from prison. It was previously reported that Joe wouldn’t be returning home to his wife, Teresa, 46, and their kids Gia, 18, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 13, and Audriana, 9.

After he was taken into ICE custody, Gia posted a sweet message dedicated to her father on social media. “Sending you my love and strength today and always. I love you,” she wrote, adding a red heart emoji.

Joe was reportedly transferred early from the Bureau of Prisons to a facility in western Pennsylvania which houses immigration detainees. As his legal team fights for him to stay in America, the Bravo personality will remain there for potentially up to a year until the appeal is processed.

Facing the Consequences

In October, a judge ruled that Joe must be deported to Italy since he pleaded guilty to multiple charges of fraud including mail, wire and bankruptcy in March 2014.

“I’ve been here my whole life, I wouldn’t know what to do in any other country,” Joe said during his court October hearing. “I want to stay here.” According to reports, the reality star is not going down “without a fight.”

Serving Time

Joe and Teresa were both indicted on 39 counts of fraud and tax charges back in July 2013, later facing two more counts in November. Teresa completed 11 months of a 15-month sentence and was released from prison on Dec. 23, 2015.
