Diddy Expresses Regret Over Not Marrying Kim Porter: I ‘Played Myself’
Stay strong. Diddy is mourning the loss of his ex and mother of his three children, Kim Porter, and he’s feeling regretful about not furthering their relationship when he had the chance. The mogul shared a throwback photo of the pair during happier times on March 3 with a heartbroken emoji.
Diddy, 49, captioned his nostalgic post “SMH” which means “shaking my head” and when someone called him out for not tying the knot with Kim, the rapper decided to share his remorse.
“When she was alive you didn’t wanna marry her,” one commenter wrote. “I know,” Diddy replied in a screenshot posted by The Shade Room. “Played myself smh.” Kim tragically passed away from pneumonia at the young age of 47 on November 15 and Diddy has been very vocal about how devastated he is.
Kim and Diddy dated for over a decade and the former flames share three children together, Christian Combs as well as twins D’Lila Star and Jessie James. Diddy also adopted Kim’s oldest son, Quincy, from her previous relationship with Al B. Sure. The dynamic duo never exchanged vows as they decided to call it quits in 2007, but they still maintained a strong bond.
“Kim is an incredible mother to our children. We’ve been part of each other’s lives for many years and I have always admired her courage and strength,” Diddy gushed during an interview with JET magazine.
The mogul shared an emotional message to Instagram on Dec. 7, asking for prayers as he continues to grieve. It read, “Your about to be happier than you’ve ever been.” Diddy then wrote in the caption, “Me talking to my self #manifestation #secondysecond. THROUGH THE GRACE OF GOD!!!! HELP ME. HELP ME. GOD PLS HELP ME!!!!! PLEASE PRAY FOR ME CAUSE MONEY CANT STOP THE PAIN.” We’re wishing him and his loved ones all the best during this tough time.
