Jinger Duggar Seemingly Shades Can-Loving Sister Jill With Fresh Veggie Post
Is that fresh spinach we see?! Jinger Duggar got pretty excited about fresh vegetables in an Instagram Stories post, and it sort of seems like she shaded her sister Jill Duggar in the process. Because as many Duggar fans know, Jilly-muffin is much more into veggies of the canned variety, if many of her recipes are anything to go off of. On her Story, Jinger posted photos of fresh veggies on Dec. 19 (along with a cute pic of her daughter, Felicity, hanging out in a stroller while the two of them went on a walk… but that super cute baby is a topic for another time). “Anyone else get excited when you are given garden fresh veggies?” Jinger wrote over a photo of leafy greens. She then added another snap of butternut squash and spinach and identified the food along with an enthusiastic heart eyes emoji. Sounds like someone is over Duggar casseroles and canned dishes!
Jill, on the other hand, is usually all about those canned vegetables. The Counting On and 19 Kids and Counting star adds canned food to a ton of the recipes she shares with fans and followers or her blog. Cream of chicken soup, in particular, is an ingredient that pops up alarmingly often.
To be fair, Jill does occasionally add a fresh veggie or two to her dishes, like that time she made a salad. Wasn’t that exciting? She gave her son Samuel a cucumber once that her Instagram followers know of, and that was a stand-out, just to put things in perspective.
OK, so maybe Jinger wasn’t meaning to shade her sister with her “fresh veggies are awesome” shout-out. But the fact that she took the time to make not one, but two Story posts about how she was so excited for those vegetables is certainly a nice change from Jill’s usual love of canned ingredients. Subtle jab or coincidence? You decide.
