House Tour! See Inside the Duggar Family's Homes and Apartments
It's not easy cooking for 19 kids. Instead of cooking healthy meals from scratch, the Duggars mostly rely on boxed and canned food that can be cooked in bulk, like the infamous tater tot casserole. These recipes have zero vegetables in them but have tons of heavy cream, cream of whatever soups, cheese, and more cheese. They probably taste OK (if not a little bland), but they're incredibly unhealthy and just a little unappetizing to look at. Below, a few Duggar recipes we'll gladly pass on.

Tater Tot Casserole
Let's just start off with the most famous one, the tater tot casserole. We actually made and tried this recipe ourselves and had mixed feelings about it. It's heavy, mushy, and not very healthy, which you'll quickly find is an ongoing theme with the Duggars' recipes.

The Chickennetti
Now this is just terrifying. When Anna made this nightmare, which is a baked monstrosity of spaghetti, chicken, broth, canned tomatoes, Cream of Chicken soup, Velveeta cheese, and dignity, we were surprised to see the whole family woofing it down. It's Josh's "favorite," which says a lot about him and this recipe.

Walker Burritos
Derick Dillard was a little too happy with sharing this "delicious" recipe made by his wife, Jill Duggar. This deconstructed burrito has zero vegetables (of course), but it has an entire dairy aisle worth of cheese in it. Derick called it "very nutritious," but no thanks. We'll pass.

Barbecue Tuna
Jim Bob rarely cooks, but every once and while when Michelle is away, he likes to bust out his "specialty," which honestly looks like a tray of cat food. It's basically just tuna mixed with six jars of barbecue sauce. Slap it between two pieces of white bread for a very Duggarfied lunch.

TLC
Beef and Potato Hash
Jessa has admitted that she's not a good cook, which will explain this unappealing "hash" that's basically just potatoes, beef, and onions thrown lazily into a dish. Fortunately, it's not quite as artery-clogging as some of the other recipes in this list, but it certainly looks bland and unappetizing.

TLC
Tomatoes From a Can
When Jim Bob wanted to lose weight but satisfy his craving for pizza, he opened up a can of stewed tomatoes and just ate them raw from the can. Who does that? Jim Bob, apparently.

Soy Burger
Michelle decided to jump in on the "healthy eating" bandwagon, too. In an old clip, she shared that her go-to diet meal is a gray soy burger patty that's been nuked in the microwave and slapped into an English muffin. It's so sad looking, we can barely look at it.

Baked Potato With Mustard
Jill gets a bit of a pass for this one. While carrying Samuel, one of her pregnancy cravings was mustard and hot sauce on potatoes. Yeah, it's a little weird, but like we said, she gets a pass — this time.

Poor Man's Pizza
This is literally just pasta sauce and cheese slapped on a piece of bread. However, it's certainly not "gross," and we can see ourselves totally eating it if we had literally nothing else in our house, but it's a little lazy and sad looking when you think about it too much. But hey, might as well end on a high-ish note, right?
