Fans were surprised when Jana Duggar shared that she listens to Michael Bublé while talking about finding Mr. Right, but it turns out she may have accidentally revealed something even more interesting. While chatting with one of her followers on Saturday, August 3, the star once again sparked courting speculation with Lawson Bates. When a fan on Instagram told the star they “would love to see [her] finding [her] handsome prince, 😊” the Counting On star responded by joking, “Maybe he’s riding in on a green turtle instead of a white horse.” She also revealed that’s she’s “still searching for Mr. Right” and quoted the Canadian crooner’s song, adding, “Just haven’t met [him] yet!”

Though the Bublé reference would seem to disqualify Lawson as Jana’s Mr. Right — after all, they’ve definitely met and been friends for years — one fan thought another part of her comment might’ve been a different hint. While playfully explaining why it might be taking so long for her to find her man, the celeb joked that Prince Charming’s ride might be a “green turtle.” It’s not an obvious clue, but one eagle-eyed fan had done the detective work. “Lol, didn’t Lawson just post a pic with a turtle?” they teased.

The comment was just a joke, but it’s far from the first time that Jana, 29, and Lawson, 27, have sparked courting rumors. Around the same time that Bringing Up Bates star posted the turtle pic — July 15 — fans also noticed that he’d been flying to Arkansas pretty frequently. When the Duggar daughter first joined Instagram back in January, the country singing star left more than a few flirty messages on her page, and his family even “liked” a comment that suggested they were courting.

Of course, both stars have shut down the speculation. While chatting exclusively with In Touch, Lawson revealed that his mom’s Instagram “like” was actually an accident. “My mom was scrolling through late last night and didn’t realize what she was liking,” he told In Touch. “Meanwhile, Instagram 101 for my mom is now in session.” Jana also told fans that she and her family friend are “not a thing.” All thing considered, the turtle mention was likely less of a hint and more of a coincidence, but that doesn’t mean we can’t keep our fingers crossed for courting news, right?
