And a baby makes three! It’s official: John David Duggar and his wife, Abbie Grace Burnett, are expecting their first child together. The couple announced the exciting news to the world on Thursday, August 1, revealing how thrilled they are to expand their brood.

“We are on Cloud 9 about welcoming our own little Duggar into the world,” the lovebirds told PEOPLE. “It really is amazing to think about being parents and having our own child to raise.” John, 29, and Abbie, 27, were all smiles in the new photo, holding up a white onesie while flying together.

“We are thankful that God has blessed us with this new life and we look forward to taking on this new adventure,” the pair added about their journey to parenthood.

It looks like fans were on point with their pregnancy speculation! On July 29, John and Abbie posted new photos to celebrate the first anniversary of their engagement, and some eagle-eyed followers took notice of one image in particular from their trip to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for #OSH19, which EAA calls “the world’s greatest aviation celebration.” The pilot was embracing Abbie while standing behind her and both of them seemingly had their hands rested on her stomach.

“I thought this was a pregnancy announcement,” one wrote. “Me too, lol,” another chimed in, while a third added, “I got super excited.” Now, the dynamic duo has confirmed the rumors are true!

As fans may recall, John and his blushing bride began courting in June 2018, and he popped the question only a month later in an airplane hangar located in front of a sign that read, “Abbie, Will You Marry Me?” The couple soon took their relationship to the next level by exchanging their vows in front of friends and family during a romantic ceremony in Arkansas on November 3, 2018.

We can’t wait to find out if they are expecting a baby boy or girl. Congrats you two!
