What is up with this guy? David Eason defended his decision to shoot and kill Jenelle Evans’ dog Nugget on April 30 and promptly turned around to post about “happiness” on social media just one day later, Us Weekly reported. He shared the cryptic message that seemed at odds with what happened at his and Jenelle’s home and what’s going on with their marriage to his Instagram Story. Horrifying
On April 30, a horrifying rumor began to circulate alleging that former Teen Mom 2 star David, 30, killed his wife’s dog.

Investigating
Reports indicated that the police had been called to Jenelle’s house to investigate after a 911 call. “A call was made today, and it was relayed that the woman’s husband had killed her dog,” the Sheriff’s Department revealed to Radar Online. “The Sheriff is out there right now investigating and there will be an incident report filed later.”

Who Was It?
The police said Jenelle, 27, did not place the call herself. Reportedly, it was a man who alleged that David killed Jenelle’s dog.

What Happened?
The Teen Mom 2 mama also updated her Facebook status to read “Feeling Devastated.” That got fans wondering whether they had a fight and broke up.

“Crying Every Day”
“Nugget … I’m crying every day. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless,” she wrote. “You were my sidekick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me. You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons.”

No Coming Back From This
The Teen Mom franchise star continued, “Every day I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed … you’re not here. You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back. #Heartbroken #Distraught.”

Confirmed
Meanwhile, David confirmed via an Instagram post that he did indeed kill the dog. “I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face. … Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog, and I don’t put up with that s–t at all,” he said on May 1.”

All About It
He continued, “I’m all about protecting my family. It is my life’s mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for, and my family means that much to me.”

Hate Me
“You can hate me all you want, but this isn’t the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively,” he added. “The only person that can judge [whether] or not [an] animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME.”

What Else Could He Do?
But Teen Mom fans still (rightfully, tbh) judged David for his violent actions. “He full on let her put her face in the dog’s face, and he knew what was going to happen. So instead of stopping it before she got bit, he just let it play out,” one person wrote, before seemingly warning Jenelle to “Get out of that relationship before something happens to you. He was quick to shoot the dog, so what else is he capable of???!!!”

Unconcerned
But David seems oddly unconcerned by the criticism and possible consequences he could face for shooting Nugget.

Happiness?
He shared a quote to his Instagram Story on May 1 that read, “Happiness depends on your attitude, not on what you have.”

Wrong Attitude
Frankly, that seems like the wrong attitude to have for a guy who just shot his family’s dog. Is he really that blasé about the whole situation?

Final Straw?
Jenelle, at least, seems to be taking things a bit more seriously. She told Us Weekly on May 1 that she’s considering a divorce after her husband killed her dog, “but nothing is finalized.”
