Is Jenelle Evans OK? The Teen Mom 2 star’s mom, Barbara Evans, has reason to believe her daughter may be in danger. On last week’s episode, the 27-year-old denied that her husband, David Eason, physically assaulted her after accusing him of domestic violence in a chilling 911 call. This week, however, Barbara, 65, said she believes the 30-year-old is “hurting her.” Keep scrolling for all the details.

“I think he’s hurting her. He’s keeping her, I can see it’s domestic violence things. He’s keeping her like a prisoner. She can’t even leave the house,” Barbara told producers.

“I think in your mind when you’re a victim of domestic violence you want to leave, but sometimes it takes a long time before she leaves,” she continued. “Maybe if she loses everything she can walk away from him.”

David was fired from the MTV show after he posted a series of homophobic and transphobic tweets. And when he once tried to show up to Jace’s soccer game after he was given the boot, production shut down filming.

“She doesn’t want to film anymore because every time she makes a commitment to film all of a sudden David starts a fight with her,” Barbara, who has primary custody of Jenelle’s son, Jace, said through tears.

“She can’t film because if she films, she gets in trouble when she gets home. I told her, ‘This is your job. You’ve been doing this for 10 years. It’s not his show it’s your show. He’s not working. What’re you going to do if you lose the show?’ She’s going to be homeless.”

In 2018, David fired off bigoted comments about the LGBTQ community during a Twitter argument with another user about the prospect of concealed carry in schools. “It only makes sense to protect our kids the proper way, the only way we know how,” David wrote, linking to a news story about a bill to allow concealed carry in South Carolina schools.

In response, the Twitter user wrote, “Education is how we protect our kids. Starts with intentional parenting.”

“And just what makes you think you have a right to tell me how to be a parent?” David shot back in a now-deleted tweet. “Because you think you know me? LMAO, why don’t you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals. Oh, I forgot, that’s supposed to be normal.”

That’s when a third Twitter user entered the mix, asking David, “Who are you to say what’s normal or what’s moral? Are you going to teach your children to hate gay and transgender people?”

“No,” David responded. “I’m going to teach them not to associate with them or be that way … If you lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas.”

But things seemed to be getting better recently among the trio. In August, Jenelle gushed on Twitter: “Guess who gets along now? Babs and David. That took forever. #Annoying,” she wrote, before adding, “She noticed he’s very ‘handy’ and appreciates that. So far so good!”

One month later, on September 6, J shared a photo with her mama and captioned it: “Had a cute breakfast with a cute little lady. ☕️💞 #Breakfast#GossipGirl #SippinTea“

And on January 20, Jenelle shared another smiley snap and said: “Life’s good. 👯♀️💞 #MotherAndDaughter #ButFirstMakeup.”

Here’s to hoping everything’s A-OK with the family. At least for the sake of the kids.
