Exclusive‘Bringing Up Bates’ Star Trace Bates Is Dating Chaney Grace! ‘We Look Forward to What God Has in Store’
Sparks are flying! It’s official: Bringing Up Bates star Trace Bates is thrilled to announce that he’s dating Chaney Grace after weeks of fan speculation. While chatting with In Touch exclusively, the 22-year-old confirmed their blossoming romance and revealed how excited he is about the future. “These past 8 months of getting to know each other have been amazing and we look forward to what God has in store for us,” Trace told In Touch exclusively about their incredible bond. As far as how the couple met, Trace and Chaney first crossed paths in Colorado when their families were on a skiing trip at the same time.
Trace’s new girlfriend actually resides in Texas, but that isn’t keeping them apart! His mother, Kelly Jo, once drove all night so he could pay his leading lady a visit, so clearly she’s got the seal of approval from his family! This is a big deal for the famous brood, as a Bates boy hasn’t entered into a formal dating relationship for years.

The reality star’s relatives were all smiles when Trace brought Chaney along for their annual “I Love You Day” celebration on an upcoming episode. “I think one of the biggest and best surprises of the whole party was for me, was when Trace showed up … he was not in costume, but he had a friend,” Kelly Jo said in our exclusive teaser clip. Trace’s brother, Nathan, also revealed it was the “last thing” he expected to see!
Trace even gushed over Chaney, revealing she’s a “really pretty” and fun girl with a cool personality. Several of his loved ones welcomed Chaney with open arms and his mom said she was overjoyed to see him “with this sweetheart.”
We couldn’t be happier for them — especially because they are now official!
