After tying the knot in May, Carlin Bates and husband Evan Stewart are ready to start bringing up their own little Bates babies! The couple announced on Wednesday, September 4 that they’re pregnant, sharing the news with Romper. For their announcement photos, the couple posed with a sonogram of their little one, adding the text, “Hi, Mom and Dad!” They also shared that they’re due in February 2020.

“We are beyond thrilled to be expecting our first child. Spending every day with your best friend and building a life together has already exceeded our happiest dreams,” Carlin, 21, said. Evan, 24, added, “We are so happy at the thought of parenting together. … Three at the table sounds perfect! God is so good.”

There have been some setbacks, though. Carlin revealed to Romper that she’s been dealing with some nausea, which a lot of women in her family have experienced during pregnancy. While chatting with People, she shared that she’s also dealing with “two clotting disorders,” the “same” ones that big sister Erin Bates has struggled with during her own pregnancies. “Evan had to learn to give me two shots daily,” Carlin said. “We have had a lot of opportunity to pray and to try to trust God, as we have researched the different side effects and concerns. So although it has been a learning experience, we know we have an even bigger reason to be thankful that the baby is doing well.”

It’s been a big year for the stars, who shared what a “whirlwind of excitement and love” 2019 has been for them. “And just when I think life can’t get crazier, busier or happier, I find out I’m pregnant!” the mom-to-be joked to People. “I think it really hit us that we’re going to be parents when we saw the ultrasound and heard the heartbeat. Words can’t express the emotions you feel, knowing there is a little life that’s carrying your genes and DNA growing inside of you.”
