What in the ’90s nightmare is this! Aaron Carter took to Instagram in an ‘NSync shirt to throw a little shade at his big brother and Backstreet Boys frontman, Nick Carter, on Tuesday, September 17. It doesn’t really look like there is much friendly competition here.

“Is that an @nsync shirt?” wrote the former teen sensation before his followers could ask the question. “Bye bye bye to all you rude foul muthaf–kin BSB fans! I ain’t the one. 🖕🏼” He added. If that isn’t a direct hit at the Backstreet Boys, we don’t know what is.

Aaron filmed himself in the mirror singing the ‘NSync hit “Bye Bye Bye.” After he was done with his rendition, he stepped back and threw up a middle finger. Fans were quick to take to the comments and call out the “I Want Candy” singer for his crass ways. “You obviously need to heal more. Way too much hate and immaturity on your end,” wrote one user while another said, “Come on Aaron life is too short for this type of behavior.”

Other fans urged the tattoo-clad singer to reconcile with his brother writing, “Are you surprised that Nick hates you? you are pathetic … nothing helps you anymore.” Another comment read, “This … is unnecessary. Be the bigger person here!”

Aaron and his brother have made their brotherly feud public in the past and it doesn’t look like these two have plans to hug it out anytime soon. Although, maybe Nick will reconsider with Aaron’s recent health scare. Police were called to Aaron’s home back in early August after reports that the singer was suicidal. “He was basically swatted — this was a false alarm. He has been working a lot and busy,” a source told Us Weekly, adding, “He is not suicidal.”

The source also disclosed that Aaron is holding up well after his recent breakup with Lina Valentina. “He initiated it, and she was upset about it,” the insider said. “He bought a house, and they were planning for the future, but he realized it wasn’t a healthy relationship and ended it.”

As of now, there is no word if the Carter brothers will ever see eye-to-eye but it seems like Aaron is at least trying to make nice with one family member — mom Jane Carter. The duo will appear together on the upcoming season of Marriage Boot Camp: Family Edition on WE tv. The season begins on October 11, and we can’t wait to see if Nick will make an appearance!
