A soul-crushing experience. Yara Zaya was overcome with emotions while reflecting on her devastating miscarriage with Jovi Dufren in the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé, which aired on Sunday, January 3.

With only 79 days left to wed, the couple went out to a romantic dinner and celebrated the time they could spend together in New Orleans, Louisiana, before he left to go to work for four weeks. By the time Jovi, 29, returned, they would have only 45 days to prepare for their nuptials, which put added stress on the duo.

“I will be lonely here,” she said in a confessional, revealing it wasn’t going to be easy to adjust to her new digs after leaving behind her life in the Ukraine.

Jovi said that he wanted her to feel at home, even when he was not going to be around because of other commitments. “I want you to be comfortable here,” he chimed in, adding, “I want to start a family here.” Yara, 25, explained that having kids is a full-time responsibility and that could be difficult with his work schedule.

“Of course, it’s not easy … I need somebody’s help,” she told him. In his solo confessional, Jovi detailed his own upbringing and said his father was often traveling for his job while his mother raised him back at home. He also shared that he is off for four weeks at times, which would be a positive aspect.

Yara fought back tears as they discussed their views on having children as it brought up an old wound. “There is another reason why I don’t want to get pregnant now … because when we were traveling in Europe, I lost a baby and I was [needing] to go for [an] operation and Jovi left me and he [flew] alone back to work,” she told producers. Jovi said he left her there because she lost her passport, but he didn’t know that she would have to undergo an operation.

At the table, Yara also informed Jovi she was still struggling to trust him. “I didn’t realize that Yara was so resentful to me that I left her in Albania. I knew that I made a questionable decision … I didn’t expect it to be brought up a year and a half later,” he told cameras. “Of course, it bothers me. It is not the conversation I want to have with Yara, especially when I am flying out to work in the morning.”

Jovi apologized for bringing up the topic, but it appears they still have some issues to sort through.

Season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé airs Sundays at 8/7c on TLC.
