90 Day Fiance’s Yara Is Uprooting Her Life in the Ukraine to Be With Jovi — Learn All About the Season 8 Couple
Taking a leap of faith! A brand-new season of TLC’s flagship reality series, 90 Day Fiancé, is right around the corner, meaning fans will finally get to meet season 8 couple Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya during the Sunday, December 6, premiere. Find out how they crossed paths, sparked a romance and more!
Jovi and Yara met on a travel app:
Jovi, 29, is a proud world-traveler and he was hoping to find someone to join him in his excursions, so he downloaded a travel app to meet some new people. Although they did match and have an instant connection, Jovi didn’t think he was going to find anything serious — until he met up with Yara, 25.
Yara got pregnant, but sadly suffered a miscarriage:
As their romance started to blossom, Yara found out she was expecting just six months into their relationship. Unfortunately, the Ukraine native soon discovered she had a miscarriage, which was a devastating experience for both of them. Amidst the heartbreak, the pair found a way to grow even closer together.
Jovi popped the question and they filed for a K-1 visa:
After finding out she was pregnant, Jovi proposed to the blonde beauty and they began the K-1 visa process so she could relocate to the United States. The duo will have to get married in the 90-day time frame if she wants to stay with him in Louisiana.
Yara is moving to New Orleans to be with her man:
In the season 8 trailer, Yara was preparing to move to America and worried about how she would adapt in a new country. On top of that, Jovi’s mom was concerned they would have their work cut out for them upon her arrival. His friends agreed, as they questioned if he could give up his party-loving ways to settle down and ditch the bachelor lifestyle for good.
Jovi and Yara aren’t always on the same page:
“He needs to understand, I [gave] up everything I have to be here,” Yara said while fighting back tears in the preview.
Be sure to catch new episodes of 90 Day Fiancé on TLC on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET.
