She may be new to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, but The Other Way star Evelin is already fitting in perfectly — by taking to social media to explain something fans saw on the show. On Wednesday, June 5, the new celebrity took a page out of some of her costars’ books by opening up to fans in an Instagram Q&A. While answering a few questions, she took the opportunity to clarify something she’d said on the TLC show. When the couple was introduced, Evelin had admitted that she didn’t want to have kids with her fiancé, Corey Rathgeber. Now, she’s clarifying exactly what she sees in their future. A Mismatched Couple

Though the couple fell in love when they saw each other on a beach in Ecuador, it seems that Corey, 31, and Evelin, 26, don’t actually have much in common, whether it’s their religion, home, or dreams for the future.

Falling in Love

But when they first met, none of that mattered too much. After meeting by chance while Corey was backpacking through the country, he stuck around to get to know her better for two weeks.

Going Home

After that, he followed her back to her hometown in Engabao, Ecuador. The small town where she lived with her family wasn’t much like the tropical paradise where they’d been hanging out, however.

Culture Shock

Instead, Corey described the area as “very third world” and “covered with pigs,” admitting that he found the whole place pretty scary. But he put up with it for Evelin, and four years later, they’re still together.

Meeting the Couple

Now that they’ve joined the cast of The Other Way, fans are getting to know them, too. We first saw them together in Corey’s home state of Washington while Evelin was visiting the United States.

Differing Dreams

The visit was almost over, though. Evelin had been in the U.S. for about six months and it was time to head home, and Corey was planning to follow her. But what would their life together be like?

Different Paths

Corey had been raised Mormon and wants to have a lot of kids. As audiences learned, however, that’s not something that Evelin wants. The star seemed set in her choice — but now she might be backtracking a little.

Opening Up

In an Instagram Q&A she held on Wednesday, June 5, Evelin seemed to suggest that there might be a little wiggle room in her future plans. “Seriously, you would not like to have babies?” one fan asked her in Spanish.

Happy Family

“I’ll love to adopt someday,” the Ecuadorian beauty clarified. “But I don’t imagine having one of my one. … I love babies. Who knows? I might change my mind later.” She added a smiling emoji at the end of the message.

Public Perception

It seems like Evelin might be a little more open to compromise than we’ve seen her be on the show. Chances are, there might be even more differences between the star on reality TV and in reality.

Concerned Husband

According to a source close to the couple, that’s something that Corey has already worried about. “Corey is nervous about editing and how Evelin will look on TV,” an insider exclusively told In Touch.

TV Drama

“He knows she might not come across that great,” the source continued. Though the stars clearly love each other, we’ve already seen them clash in the previews for the season — and it’s not pretty.

No Regrets

Evelin’s Instagram answer just might prove that Corey was right to be worried — but the Ecuadorian herself isn’t sweating it. In another Q&A post, a fan asked if she thought she was being represented well on the show.

Living Her Truth

“I don’t know yet,” the 26-year-old answered the fan’s question. “It’s just the first episode, so I have to see how it changes. … For now, I’m happy to show you my Insta. This is who I am.”

Other Issues

Of course, editing won’t be the only problem the couple will face together. It seems they’re already bound to have money troubles. On the show, the couple admitted Corey has already given about $40,000 to Evelin and her family.

Whole New World

The preview for the season has also suggested that Corey will have a seriously hard time settling down in Ecuador. Though he is at least learning Spanish, when he arrives in the country, it seems he’s not ready for a totally new way of life.

Ex Affairs

And on top of all that, there are always romantic complications — like Evelin’s on-going contact with an ex. “Are you in [this] or not?” Corey asks his fiancée when it seems like she’s not serious about their relationship. “I guess I’m not,” she answers, and we can’t wait to see how it all plays out on screen.
