Does her son need to get ready for his close-up? Amy Duggar King is set to give birth within weeks, and she’s unfortunately on bed rest for the rest of her pregnancy. That gives her plenty of time to chat with Counting On fans and other followers while she awaits the arrival of her first child with her husband, Dillon King. On a post she shared on September 25, someone asked the Duggar cousin, “Will your birth of Baby Boy King be on Counting On?” Amy replied, “Nahhh no thank you! It’s a private event LOL. No cameras need to see all of that! 😂💙”

Hey, it’s not the craziest thing to ask! After all, a lot of Duggar births have been featured on the TLC show. Most recently, the birth of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald’s daughter, Ivy Seewald, warranted its own special outside of a regular season of Counting On. Viewers got to see every terrifying moment when she gave birth to her oldest son, Spurgeon, and ended up having to go to the hospital for excessive bleeding, too. “It was just like a bad dream, like, ‘How could this happen?’” she said on the show. Fans of the show also saw when Joy-Anna Duggar was rushed to the hospital after attempting a home birth after it was discovered that her son, Gideon, was breech.

Counting On fans may recall that Amy didn’t get a wedding special on the series, either. Back in 2015, Dillon broke the news to his followers. “TLC [called] us yesterday stating they have decided that they will NOT be filming our wedding and they are ‘glad they got to work with us’,” he wrote on Instagram, according to Radar Online. “So, Amy and myself apologize that we will not be able to share our special day with you all on the TLC network.” Meanwhile, the rest of the Duggar girls seemed to have episodes dedicated to every step in the planning process.

But Amy doesn’t appear to harbor any ill-will toward her famous family. In fact, she exclusively shared with In Touch at WEtv’s Love After Lockup screening that she received some advice on parenting from her cousins. “They just told me to love on that baby and take time, just like spending time just bonding with Dax when he’s here. And not rush back to work … skin on skin and that kind of thing,” she said. “I already have these Instagram photos in my head of what I want to do.” We can’t wait to see them — especially since there won’t be a TV special to watch, too.
