Just a month after fans speculated that Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer and her boyfriend, Jason Jordan, tied the knot, it seemed that they split. After Ashley’s Reality Roundup reported on Wednesday, March 13, that the couple actually broke up about two weeks ago, Us Weeklyofficially confirmed the news. And in a Instagram quote post, Leah herself seemed to weigh in on the situation, hinting at her own impending breakup announcement. Get all the details on Leah and Jason’s split in the gallery below.
They confirmed their relationship in May and by August, they’d become Instagram official, regularly sharing cute comments about each other online. “Find someone that knows you’re not perfect but treats you as if you are!” Leah captioned one of their photos together.

But then they broke up.
By October 2018, it was over, and the Teen Mom star was taking to social media to hint at the split. “Some things are meant to happen, just not meant to be. Some things are meant to come into your life, just not meant to stay,” she shared on Twitter.

By Thanksgiving, they were back together.
“I’ve never been so thankful! 😍🦃🍽🍁 Happy Thanksgiving!!” Leah wrote on Instagram with a photo of their two families, tagging her man in the pic. They seemed to spend the whole long weekend together.

And it wasn’t long before they were dropping the L-word again.
“Putting his height to good use,” Leah joked when she had her man help her decorate the Christmas tree. “Love you, babe,” she added before they continued to banter playfully in the comments.

Jason seemed to get that dating in public was tough.
“With her three [girls], my child, TV, tabloids, rumors, her travel and work, my work, friends and family, and exes, it’s not a simple love story,” he told a fan in the comments. “[There are] good days and bad, but a lot of people don’t understand how hard it is to be criticized about everything. It’s definitely not easy, but we both do the best we can for each other and our families to let OUR LOVE rule and ONLY consider our situation. And what works best for us may not always be popular to some, but it makes our family strong and [we] make it work.”

The two became something of a blended family.
Jason even helped celebrate Addie’s 6th birthday with the rest of the crew. The party was unicorn-themed and the pictures were absolutely hilarious.

Not long after, the marriage speculation began.
It all started with an Instagram photo of Leah’s daughter, Aleeah. “So crazy how big she’s getting. We’re so proud of my girl! @raylansdad416,” the mom-of-three posted on the pic, tagging her boyfriend in the message as well.

It was Jason’s comment that set things off.
He didn’t just show Aleeah some love — he also jokingly referred to herself as her dad, writing in the comments, “She looked gorgeous and did a great job. Proud to be a cheer dad hehe.”

Fans pretty much lost it.
In the comments responding to Jason’s words, they thought they were out of the loop. “Have I missed something is Leah engaged to him or have they gotten married?” wrote one as another added, “Oh when did they get married?”

But Jason put the rumors to rest.
“When the real dad ain’t around, you play that role, therefore making you the dad in play,” he said. “Haha, it’s an honor, not a chore. Right, homie!” He even joked, “Blended families for president.”

It wasn’t shade, though.
Jason was just happy to step up during the days that Leah was with her girls to act as another father figure to them. Hey, two dads are better than one, right? “[Corey Simms and I] were BOTH there for the girls,” he told fans.

But just a few weeks later, things ended.
According The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, a source close to the star claimed that Leah was the one who broke it off. Jason’s alleged controlling behavior is what drove a rift between them, and dealing with the jealousy was too much to handle.

And she’s back to her social media shading.
“When someone shows you who they are believe them,” read a meme that Leah shared according to Us Weekly. And in an Instagram post, she hinted even further at the breakup.

She shared the quote on her Story first.
“So thankful for this beautiful journey that we call life!” she wrote on a floral backdrop. “My thought of the day. … Everyone comes into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. I’m thankful for everyone I’ve journeyed with and continue to learn and grow. When we can live in the present with appreciation, there’s no room for judgment. Some things are just not meant to be and that’s ok.”

She shared a similar message on her actual post.
“Everything happens for a reason! #trusttheprocess,” she continued. “I only ever want what God wants for us! 🙌🏼Thank you for all of the support, we love you! ♥️♥️♥️” Maybe the star will find someone who is meant for her soon.
