A break in the case. After Nipsey Hussle tragically passed away from multiple gunshot wounds on Sunday, March 31, many people were sad and confused as to who would want the rapper dead. One day later, a suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Eric Holder of Los Angeles.

“On March 31, 2019 around 3:20 p.m. three male adults were standing in front of a business in a strip mall in the 3400 block of West Slauson Blvd. The suspect walked up to the men and fired numerous shots at them. The victims were struck and fell to the ground,” a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department read.

The authorities added, “The suspect ran southbound through an adjacent valley to a waiting vehicle. The suspect entered the passenger side of the vehicle and fled the area. The vehicle is a 2016 Chevy Cruze, white four doors, CA license plate 7RJD742. The vehicle was driven by an unidentified female.”

According to the police, three people were shot, but Nipsey was the only one who didn’t make it. “Two victims were transported to local hospitals and one refused medical treatment at the scene,” the statement said.

Just hours before he was killed, the 33-year-old posted a mysterious message on Twitter. “Having strong enemies is a blessing,” he wrote at the time.

Earlier that same day, the late “Racks In The Middle” crooner (real name: Ermias Joseph Asghedom) was “found to have died from gunshot wounds of the head and torso,” according to the L.A. County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

Nipsey is survived by his girlfriend of five years, Lauren London, and his two children. The California native shared son Kross with the actress, while he has a daughter named Emani from a previous relationship. Lauren, 34, has yet to comment on the tragic incident.

Meanwhile, many celebrities took to social media to share their condolences. “This doesn’t make any sense! My spirit is shaken by this!” Rihanna wrote on Twitter. “Dear God, may his spirit rest in peace and may you grant divine comfort to all his loved ones. I’m so sorry this happened to you @nipseyhussle.”
