Coming clean. Wendy Williams told the audience on the Monday, July 8, episode of The Wendy Williams Show that she suffers from lymphedema — a long-term condition that causes swelling in the arms and legs.

First, the 54-year-old discussed her new man and clarified that it’s not Marc Tomblin — the guy she was spotted holding hands with in June. “So, Marc is new to New York, and he’s having panic attacks,” she said. “I’m unsteady on my feet. I’ve got vertigo and lymphedema, by the way. I’ve been diagnosed.” However, the Dancing With the Stars alum reassured her fans that she will be just fine. “It’s not going to kill me, but I do have a machine.”

The New Jersey native also couldn’t help but point out that it’s not nice to make fun of her body parts. “How dare you talk about the swelling of it all!” she exclaimed. “It’s lymphedema, and I’ve got it under control. If my feet and lower things never go all the way down, at least I have this machine I got fitted for that goes all the way up here [to her thigh], and I sit for 45 minutes a day.”

Ultimately, the Ask Wendy author seemed to have a good outlook on her new situation. “And believe me, it’s the best party entertainer ever. Everybody who comes over wants to do this. It massages. Just look it up — this is not a medical moment,” she said.

This isn’t the first time the blonde beauty has discussed her health problems, either. In February 2018, Wendy took three weeks off to deal with her hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease. “Wendy is a true champion and has never missed a day of work,” a rep for the show said in a statement to Us Weekly at the time. “But her health and well-being must be put before all else.”

Then, in December 2018, the mom of one fractured her shoulder. One month later, Wendy revealed she delayed her return to her talk show due to more health complications. “As Wendy Williams Hunter previously shared, she fractured her shoulder and has been on the mend. Over the past few days, Wendy experienced complications regarding her Graves’ disease that will require treatment,” her family said in a press release at the time. “Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital. Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being.”

Even though Wendy filed for divorce from her husband of more than 21 years, Kevin Hunter, things seem to be looking up for the Emmy nominee. “Well, I’m not on the market anymore,” she said on the same episode. “I don’t know how I’m doing! I’m not in love, but there’s somebody that I’m crazy about.”

Well, we hope Wendy feels better soon! On the bright side, she has someone new to take care of her.
