Wendy Williams Ditches Her Wedding Ring on ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ Amid Divorce Rumors
Everything OK, Wendy Williams? On the Thursday, April 11, episode of The Wendy Williams Show, the TV star didn’t appear to be wearing her wedding ring. Hmm … trouble in paradise?
During the show, it looked like the 54-year-old moved the flower ring that was on her right hand to her left hand — where her wedding ring usually is. One day prior, Wendy had two rings on her left hand. Additionally, her makeup artist, Merrell Hollis, posted a video of the New Jersey native getting ready behind the scenes where she is blatantly showing her off her bare fingers.
Many fans speculated that a divorce is on the horizon. One person wrote, “Wendy Williams is not wearing her wedding band on today’s @WendyWilliams indicating her marriage is officially over,” while another echoed, “Is #WendyWilliams wearing her flower ring in place of her diamond today on her show??? Let me know what you think/or see.” A third person chimed in, writing, “@WendyWilliams is sending us messages over the TV. She’s ONLY wearing her flower ring & the I’m sorry watch & NO other jewelry. She’s hatching a plan. Once her people prove he spent excessively, he’ll be out of her business & leave his ass. #WendyWilliams.”
It’s not shocking to hear that Wendy and her husband, Kevin Hunter, are having issues. The duo got married in 1997, but Kevin has been allegedly cheating on Wendy for 10 years with his reported mistress Sharina Hudson.
On March 4, Wendy returned to her show after a long hiatus where she denied cheating rumors and gave a sweet shout-out to her hubby. “I am still wearing my ring,” she said at the time. “Believe me, when you’ve been with somebody for 28 years, married for 25 years, then … When we got married, we waited like four years before doing the baby projects and stuff. So, we know each other. He is my best friend, my lover, he’s all this, and he’s all that. I know what you’ve been saying, and I know what the streets have been talking about. … Don’t ask about mine until you see this gone,” she said, referring to the piece of jewelry.
Even though the blonde beauty admitted that she is staying at a sober house as she continues to battle addiction, her husband is insisting that they are a strong unit. “We’re doing well as a family. We are moving forward with working on her sobriety and doing the work to help others, not just ourselves,” the 46-year-old told Entertainment Tonight.
For now, we’ll just have to see what Wendy does next.
