‘TMOG’ Star Mackenzie McKee Says Ex Josh Will Have to ‘Start From Scratch’ If He Wants to Get Back Together
Matters of the heart. Teen Mom OG star Mackenzie McKee has been getting flooded with questions about her relationship with Josh McKee after news of their split broke. The MTV alum took to Twitter with an update on Thursday, September 26, revealing exactly what she would need from Josh to even consider rekindling their romance down the line.
“If I was ever dumb enough to be with Josh. He has to start from scratch … fight for me, ask me to be his girlfriend, propose, than marry me. And if that’s another man first than that’s how it was suppose to be,” the reality star, 24, wrote.
It should be noted that Mackenzie didn’t put all of the blame on her former flame, as she even owned up to her own part in their relationship’s demise. “Also if he is dumb enough to be with me. I’m not going to pretend I was a good wife. I wasn’t,” she continued. “And for that I apologize. I’ve lied, I’ve cheated, and stopped showing an ounce of affection for 3 years. Etc … we are both idiots and need a fresh start. [Probably] not with each other.”
After hearing her candid confession, one fan called out Mackenzie, claiming that she seemingly “faked” her marriage for TV and an interesting storyline. However, the reality star wasn’t about to let that rumor start circulating. “Lol. Every relationship on Facebook (non reality stars) have skeletons in their closets. I did nothing for MTV. I tried with him for 3 years and tried to make things OK,” the mother of three fired back. “You have no clue what you are talking about.”
As viewers may recall, Mackenzie and Josh tied the knot back in August 2013, but she was actually first introduced to fans on the hit show 16 & Pregnant in 2011, having later been cast on Teen Mom 3 and now Teen Mom OG. Prior to their surprising breakup, the dynamic duo welcomed three adorable children together: Gannon, 7, Jaxie, 5, and Broncs, 3.
Unfortunately, things didn’t work out between the couple. In August, Mackenzie confirmed they parted ways. “I would like to say, that due to stress, me needing to stay focused, the media, etc. I am deciding my marriage needs a break,” she wrote while making the announcement. “My heart breaks for my kids. But as of right now, this is what’s best.”
