‘Teen Mom’ Stars Mackenzie and Josh McKee Split After 6 Years of Marriage: ‘My Heart Breaks for My Kids’

The pair later welcomed their second child, a girl named Jaxie, on February 7, 2014 and their third child, another son named Broncs, on August 15, 2016.

More recently, Mackenzie and Josh officially joined the cast of Teen Mom OG and appeared in their very first episode on the series on August 5.

Fans have been speculating there’s trouble in paradise with the couple as of late, since she vented her concerns about Josh on a recent episode.

Tough Times

The reality TV star revealed, “raising three kids isn’t easy and Josh and I have really struggled with our relationship over the years.”

Relationship Struggles

As viewers saw, Mackenzie was visibly upset when she found out her husband, Josh, lied to her about being at a bar during a rodeo work trip.

Responding to Concerns

“There was no affection or anything like that there,” he said, while shutting down her thoughts of infidelity. “I’d like you to trust me when I’m getting a few drinks at a bar … I was just avoiding the fight, and I was wrong.”

Reaction Revealed

“I did trust you,” Mackenzie responded, before addressing the text she received. “But once I found out you lied about going … that’s the whole issue. It’s not even what you did, it’s how I found out.”

Calling It Quits

Even though it appeared the couple was working through their issues, it looks like they are parting ways for now. Mackenzie took to social media with an update about their relationship on Friday, August 16.

Taking to Twitter

“To the girls (I know who you are) who called in. Nice try,” she began. “However I would like to say, that due to stress, me needing to stay focused, the media, etc. I am deciding my marriage needs a break. My heart breaks for my kids. But as of right now, this is what’s best. Thank you.”

Confirming the News

“My business is all over twitter being untrue and out of my control. I am on a tv show which shares my real life. The good and bad. I can tweet what I want. If it comes from me, ya know it’s true,” Mackenzie continued.

Trusting the Process

The MTV alum said she knows in her heart that Josh does love her, however this was her decision to walk away.

Amicable Exes

When a fan mentioned how it came as a surprise since they seemed “solid,” Mackenzie agreed wholeheartedly. “We were. We were truly best friends. It’s all just devastating,” she replied.

Moving Forward

Mackenzie later took to Instagram with a beaming new selfie and a heartfelt caption. “Freshly single and ready to, be the boss babe that I am and let God lead me to what i deserve,” the reality star wrote.
