Their bond is stronger than ever. Teen Mom OG star Mackenzie McKee posted an appreciative message about her brave mother, Angie Douthit, amid her ongoing cancer battle. The MTV alum took to Twitter with a heartwarming post on Tuesday, July 30, revealing that she started off her day right with an “encouraging” text from her mom. Mackenzie expressed how grateful she is to have Angie in her life at this point, only a month after revealing that her mom is “staying positive” despite her current health issues. Overcoming Obstacles

Mackenzie’s mother, Angie, has continued to inspire fans everywhere with her strength and bravery while battling stage 4 cancer.

It’s been a long and tough road for the mother-daughter duo, but they are both treasuring every moment spent together. The MTV alum most recently took to Twitter with a sweet message about Angie on July 30.

Feeling Grateful

“Waking up at 5:00 a.m. to such an encouraging random text from my momma @angiedouthit I’d be so lost without you,” Mackenzie wrote. “I will cherish these simple things forever.”

Staying Strong

Angie replied, “Love u strong one!” Meanwhile, another fan showed some support writing, “Keep ya head up girl … you’re doing a great job … can’t wait to see you on Monday’s episode … I’ve always loved watching you.”

New Beginnings

Mackenzie revealed that her mother was diagnosed with brain and lung cancer back in January 2018. Now, fans will get to hear updates about the brood as Mackenzie’s family will appear on TMOG starting August 5.

“They want to start me on chemo next week,” Angie says in a teaser for the upcoming episode.

“You were the glue that was holding it all together,” Mackenzie responds, while breaking down. “And when that glue melts … I feel like I’m going to fall apart.”

Angie also posted a statement about their getaway on her page. “Yesterday was a very blessed day. We fly home tomorrow. And … no power outages! The best part of the day was getting to share my cancer story with some incredible people,” she wrote.
