If you're in need of a new favorite show (and we know you are!), look no further than the dynamic cast of Seeking Sister Wife. The network has already told the interesting stories of parents with quintuplets, unexpected teen pregnancies, and now they're adding another show about polygamist couples.
"You'll meet three plural families seeking, dating, or transitioning a new sister wife into their lives," TLC explains. "Follow the emotional ups and downs as they begin the intimate process of introducing a new member into their family." Keep scrolling to learn more about the three families!
The Snowden Family
Viewers can be sure that Ashley and Dimitri Snowden are committed to welcoming a sister wife into their family. They are currently unmarried in the eyes of the law but maintain a spiritual and moral union. They've maintained their legal singleness to make sure that their sister-wife will have all the same freedoms and protections that they experience.
This endeavor is not only important to them as a couple but also to their expanding family. Ashley is pregnant with their third (and last) child but they still want to have more children. So, finding a woman who is open to having children is imperative.
The Alldredge Family
Jeff, Vanessa, and Sharis Alldredge are a traditional Mormon family and are in search of adding another wife to their family. They already have seven children (all under the age of seven) which might seem like a lot for some families but they are under the belief that their family could never be complete. So, they will continue to have as many children and wives as possible.
The Briney Family
The largest of the polygamist families are the Briney family. Drew, April, Auralee, and Angela Briney will learn that adding a new member to the family can cause drama in the plural lifestyle. Angela is the newest addition to the family and married Drew after s short two-week courtship. When all the wives begin living together with Drew, this will surely create a tense living environment because April and Auralee don't know Angela well. Plus, April is Drew's only legal wife, so she enjoys wielding power over the other two sister wives. Sounds like things are about to get bumpy!
Seeking Sister Wife premieres Sunday, Jan. 14 at 10 p.m. EST on TLC.
