Ray J’s Wife Flips Off the Camera Following Kim Kardashian Sex Joke at the MTV Movie Awards
Awkward! Zachary Levi opened up the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards by making a joke about Kim Kardashian and Ray J’s sex tape from 2003.
“And, of course, America’s other sweetheart Ray J, from Love & Hip Hop, is here,” the 38-year-old Tangled star said in his opening remarks. “Although I’m sure some of you are more familiar with his work as a cameraman.”
The camera quickly panned to Ray J, 38, and his wife, Princess Love, who gave the middle finger to the camera — all with a smile on her face.
However, Zachary didn’t seem to feel too bad about the joke. “I had to,” he said. “I’m sorry, it was collectively a great idea.”
Naturally, fans took to Twitter to reveal their opinion on the incident. One person wrote, “OMG Ray J’s and his girlfriend’s face at the MTV Movie Awards. Shazaam! dude got him good … that was so f—ked up,” while another echoed, “Zach Levi just f—king roasted Ray J saying he’s well known for being a cameraman. Then, his wife flipped off the camera. I can’t breathe. #MTVAwards.” A third person chimed in, writing, “When Zachary Levi literally said Ray J was a good cameraman on live TV at the MTV Awards, and his wife flipped him off, I f—king lost it.”
As fans recall, the KUWTK starlet and the “One Wish” crooner — who dated on and off from 2003 to 2006 — filmed a home video back in the day that ended up leaking in 2007. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the KKW Beauty founder, 38, spoke about her rendezvous.
A caller asked what conversation she is least looking forward to having with her kids at some point in the future. “I mean, I think mine is obvious,” Kim said, referring to her scandalous video clip. “I don’t know yet. I have an idea, and I think I’m just gonna be super honest and real with them, and that’s all you can really be.”
Meanwhile, Ray J is trying to put the past behind him, once and for all. After the TV personality apparently made some comments about his relationship with the mom of four, he wanted to make sure he told his side of the story. “I felt like I needed to come online and shut down all of these false rumors that [are] going on about me and what I said about somebody I’ve been with in the past,” he said in an Instagram clip in November 2018. “Let me make this one thing clear: I’m in a great place in my life. I’m happy. I love my wife. I’ve got a beautiful new baby girl — her name is Melody Love Norwood — and I’ve been trying to be the best parent I can be. I would never say these things after watching my wife go through labor for 28 hours, OK?”
He added, “The person I am now is not who I was in the past. I need y’all to give me a chance to grow and to love and to respect the people I’m with — without trying to slander my name, please. God is working, and obviously, the devil is trying to work, too, but it will not happen. I will not let that happen, y’all. I love my wife, and I have nothing but respect for everybody out there, past and present. False rumors.”
