Pregnant ‘Bringing Up Bates’ Star Carlin Bates Says She Got Sick After Dinner With Evan Stewart
Poor thing! Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates shared that she got ill after enjoying a meal with her husband, Evan Stewart, and it’s all thanks to baby No. 1. “Dinner was delicious 😋🍽” she captioned a sweet photo of the couple she posted on Instagram. “… Until I got home.” She then added an emoji suggesting she had gotten sick. Oh no! “Thank you @evanpstewart16 for taking such good care of me 😍 xoxo #pregnantlife.”
Carlin’s good friend, Joy-Anna Duggar, commented on the post, “You poor girl!😩 love you!!!😘” The Bringing Up Bates star replied, “@austinandjoyforsyth miss you ☹️ and love you too! 😊” Yay to besties! Boo to morning sickness.
Carlin, 21, and Evan, 24, announced on September 4 that she’s pregnant and first shared the news with Romper. “We are beyond thrilled to be expecting our first child,” Carlin gushed. “Spending every day with your best friend and building a life together has already exceeded our happiest dreams. We are so happy at the thought of parenting together. Three at the table sounds perfect! God is so good.” Carlin is due to give birth in February 2020.
The reality star also previously revealed that she’s been dealing with nausea as she’s expecting. “I haven’t found any successful tips yet to deal with the nausea, but it has made me very appreciative of Evan, who stays by my side, and offers so much encouragement,” she told Romper. “I also have a new compassion for other pregnant moms who have bravely endured nausea and discomfort!”
Fans in the comments sympathized with Carlin and offered tips. “I was put on a medicine to help with the nausea and it helped tremendously! Good luck mama! It’s all so worth it!” one fan wrote. Another commented, “Have you tried ginger gum? It works well and tastes pretty good. Congrats on baby!!” Several followers also guessed whether Carlin and Evan would welcome a boy or girl based on her sickness, with most seeming to suggest they might welcome a daughter.
All in all, Carlin seems very excited to become a mom. She wrote on Instagram on September 9, “Feeling so thankful to be carrying such a precious gift.
