The tiny pup — who was gifted to the quints and their older sister, Blayke, for their birthdays — can be seen trying to innocently nibble at Parker Kate‘s toes. “He’s trying to play,” Adam tells his four-year-old. Cuteness overload!
Unfortunately, the father-of-six is currently receiving backlash for calling their French Bulldog “miniature.” He captioned their announcement on April 7, “We had such a great Hawaiian Luau party to celebrate our 6 little princesses’ birthday yesterday. It was also the grand entrance to the girls’ new SURPRISE brother (@beauxbuzz). Our newest addition. He is a blue/tan miniature French bulldog and his name is Beaux! #outdaughtered #itsabuzzworld.”
In response, one person wrote, “As a French bulldog enthusiast, know that there is no such thing as a miniature French bulldog. Perhaps he can just be on the smaller end, but a mini Frenchie is not a term that is used or accepted by any ethical breeders.” Sigh. At least they were nice towards the end of their comment: “With that said, congrats! Your life will become much more fun! Mine keeps me laughing all day long! And they love children so much!” Another echoed, “Omg I love you guys and congrats he’s super cute but there is no such thing as a miniature French bulldog.” There’s always a critic!
Though the news came as a surprise to many, Adam — who shares the girls with his wife, Danielle Busby — *did* hint at the possibility of getting a fur baby back in January 2018. “It’s so sad seeing the many animals displaced and affected by Hurricane Harvey at local animal shelters,” Adam wrote on Instagram at the time. “We may not be quite ready for one of our own just yet, but we were able to spend a few hours at a local shelter walking and playing with a few. The girls sure seemed to enjoy it, and hopefully, it was a great change of pace for the animals.”
