There’s always a critic! Adam Busby took to Instagram on Sunday, April 7, to reveal his famous fam got a puppy. Unfortunately, not everyone was happy for the OutDaughtered stars. Instead, several slammed the reality TV dad for his word choice.

“We had such a great Hawaiian Luau party to celebrate our 6 little princesses’ Birthday yesterday,” the 36-year-old captioned a series of photos with the pup. “It was also the grand entrance to the girls’ new SURPRISE brother (@beauxbuzz). Our newest addition. He is a blue/tan miniature French bulldog and his name is Beaux! #outdaughtered#itsabuzzworld.”

In response, one person wrote, “As a French bulldog enthusiast, know that there is no such thing as a miniature French bulldog. Perhaps he can just be on the smaller end, but a mini Frenchie is not a term that is used or accepted by any ethical breeders.” Sigh. At least they were nice towards the end of their comment: “With that said, congrats! Your life will become much more fun! Mine keeps me laughing all day long! And they love children so much!” Another echoed, “Omg I love you guys and congrats he’s super cute but there is no such thing as a miniature French bulldog.” Hey, he’s learning!

It looks like Beaux is settling into his new home quite well. In fact, the quints and their older sister, Blayke, already have a nickname for their little bro. “What are you doing on my back? Adam’s wife, Danielle Busby, teased Olivia on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, April 9. “You sleep good last night?” In the background, you can hear Riley say, “Bubba! Bubba wants some water.” So cute!

Though the announcement of their new addition came as a surprise to many, they *did* hint at the possibility of getting a fur baby back in January 2018. “It’s so sad seeing the many animals displaced and affected by Hurricane Harvey at local animal shelters,” the dad-of-six wrote on Instagram at the time. “We may not be quite ready for one of our own just yet, but we were able to spend a few hours at a local shelter walking and playing with a few. The girls sure seemed to enjoy it, and hopefully, it was a great change of pace for the animals.”

Lucky for Adam, there’s now a little more testosterone in the mix. Congrats!
