So cute! Miranda Lambert shared a video of her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, cooking fried chicken ahead of her CMA Fest performance on Sunday, August 4. “’I’m sweet tea sippin’ on the front porch sittin’ while my hubby fries chicken, and I’m pickin’ these straaangs,’” the 35-year-old captioned the video on Instagram referencing the lyrics to her hit song “Locomotive.”

The country star added, “’Locomotive’ airs tonight on ABC at 8/7c. @CMA fest! #locomotive. (Sunday funday music by @timmytychilders). FYI the New Yorker took to the cast iron skillet just fine! #southern #Texan.”

Miranda couldn’t help but post some scenes from her day with her 28-year-old beau for her followers. In one clip, Brendan is wearing a tank top and hat while he tends to the chicken and in another, Miranda posted the delicious food they were making. The blonde beauty also took a cute video of herself by the stove wearing a red bandana around her neck, a cap and a black tank top with jean shorts. “Buttermilk fried chicken y’all!” she wrote. “Damn right!”

In February, the “Little Red Wagon” crooner shocked her fans when she announced she was no longer single on Instagram. “In honor of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share some news,” she captioned a photo of herself wearing a wedding gown at the time. “I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you, Brendan McLoughlin, for loving me for … me. #TheOne.”

Later on Sunday, Miranda’s performance from the CMA Music Festival — the event took place from June 6-9 in Nashville — aired on television, and she looked amazing in a sparkling black mini dress paired with a silver belt. During the TV special, the Texas native sang “Locomotive” and also performed with her band, Pistol Annies. Miranda’s ex-husband Blake Shelton was also in attendance and sang his most recent No. 1 hit called “God’s Country.”

But it seems like Miranda is happier than ever these days with the Staten Island native. “I haven’t had a single out in a long time, and I’m just ready to have new music,” she told Billboard magazine on July 18. “I’m in a new phase of my life and ready to have new music out there that represents that. This one just felt perfect as far as the vibe of it. It’s fun and lighthearted, and I’m really excited about it.”
