However, it seems like the country star has no problem with her new role. “My stepson is amazing,” she told Extra in June. “I’m loving that whole phase, and I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I’ve got that part of my womanly/motherly thing full, so this is a whole new journey. It’s great … I was like, ‘Hey, I got dogs, you got the kid, we can mix and mingle.’”

In February, the “Little Red Wagon” crooner shocked her fans when she announced she was no longer single on Instagram. “In honor of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share some news,” she captioned a photo of herself wearing a wedding gown at the time. “I met the love of my life. Hello?” she said to him. But the Staten Island native wasn’t having it since he shook his head as soon as the camera panned to this six-pack abs and said, “Come on, really?”

The Texas native’s recent tune is her first one in nearly 15 months. “I haven’t had a single out in a long time, and I’m just ready to have new music,” she told Billboard magazine on July 18. “I’m in a new phase of my life and ready to have new music out there that represents that. This one just felt perfect as far as the vibe of it. It’s fun and lighthearted, and I’m really excited about it.”

It seems like the couple certainly loves to joke around with each other, too. “I do have a tendency to creep on him when he’s doing house chores shirtless,” she admitted to the outlet. “And so, I figured why not share that with my friends? I creep on him doing all kinds of things: mowing, laundry, dishes. So, whenever the next promo comes around, I’m sure I’ll have a video.”

Even though Miranda and Brendan’s romance went from 0 to 100, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t in it for the long haul. The Grammy winner posted a video of her husband cooking up some fried chicken in August, and one troll wrote, “It won’t last.” However, Miranda wasn’t having it and clapped back. “Sure won’t! I’m gonna eat every piece of it! Can’t waste chicken,” she quipped, referring to the delicious food.
