It’s only been five days since Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was released from prison, and it seems like he’s adjusting back to his normal routine just fine. The Jersey Shore star, 37, shared a picture of himself with his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, digging into some delicious food post-release. “Feast Mode. @Lauren_Sorrentino,” the handsome hunk captioned a photo of his dinner table which included red wine, cheese, pasta, salad and chicken on Instagram. Of course, Mike couldn’t help but flex his large biceps for the picture.
Naturally, fans commented on Mike’s appearance. One person wrote, “He’s back … Look at those arms,” while another echoed, “Let’s goooo, Mike. Beast.” A third person chimed in, writing, “God damn! No more dad bod!”
The New York native posted on Instagram for the first time on September 12 — just hours after he left the facility. “Living my best life with my beautiful wife, @lauren_sorrentino @themoseyworld,” Mike wrote on social media about spending time with his lady and their dog.
The MTV personality became a free man on Thursday, September 12, after he served an 8-month prison sentence for tax evasion at Otisville Correctional Institution in New York. After some time apart, it seems like Lauren, 34, is thrilled to have her hubby back home. “We are elated to finally close this chapter of our life. Thank you to our family, friends and fans for the continuous love and support during this time,” a rep for Lauren told In Touch. “It brought us so much peace and comfort. We look forward to continuing our life as husband and wife and working on baby situations! We truly believe that the comeback is ALWAYS greater than the setback, and we can’t wait to show the world ours.”
Despite the ~situation,~ Mike seemed to handle everything with a positive attitude. “I want to put this behind me and move forward,” he said in an emotional video clip via an Instagram Live before he arrived to jail in January. “The comeback is always greater than the setback. The Situation will reveal himself in 2019. Currently under construction but will be revealed. Under new management now. There is nothing more to say. Just take me to jail.”
It’s good to have you back, Mike!
