Our hearts pretty much broke when Luke Perry passed away on Monday, March 4, after suffering a massive stroke just a few days before. But on March 12, a little over a week after his death, the 911 call has been released — and it’s seriously hard to hear. Though everyone on the phone does their best to remain calm, the woman who called for an ambulance can be heard asking emergency services to “hurry up and get here.” It’s not clear whether or not that woman was the first person who found him or if she just made the call, but either way, it’s not an easy listen.

Since the star’s death, all of Hollywood has been mourning his loss. Celebs like Colin Hanks and Ian Ziering have been sharing stories about meeting him, what an incredible friend he was, and all of his iconic roles from over the years. His Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Shannen Doherty even thought the show’s reboot should be canceled in his honor. “Luke was Shannen’s favorite in the cast,” a friend of the actress told In Touch. “She’s devastated. She didn’t want to be in the reboot, she doesn’t even think they should do it without him. She just can’t believe he’s gone.”

Of course, it’s his family’s words that have touched us the most. On March 5, Luke’s daughter, Sophie Perry, broke her silence. “A lot has happened in this past week for me. Everything is happening so fast. I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family,” she shared on Instagram. “I’m not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it’s something you aren’t ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it’s all happening in the public eye. So bare with me and know that I am grateful for all the love. Just, being grateful quietly.”

His son, Jack Perry, also shared a heartfelt message. “He was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, he was always Dad. He loved supported me in everything, and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be,” he wrote. “I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for. I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth. I’ll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud. I love you, Dad.”

Luckily, Luke’s ex-wife Rachel “Minnie” Sharp has stayed strong for her family. “She is the rock for everybody grieving in this family right now. She’s the toughest and sweetest and most amazing woman I or anyone else has ever met,” Sophie said online. “I could not get through this absolute s–t situation without you. None of us could.” That includes the Riverdale actor’s fiancée, Wendy Madison Bauer. The two women have been spotted together with Jack and one of Sophie’s friends.

“The past 11½ years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him,” she shared in a statement to Entertainment Tonight. “I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.”
