So sad. 90210 alum Luke Perry was hospitalized on Wednesday, February 27, In Touch can confirm. The actor suffered from a massive stroke, according to Us Weekly. A rep for the actor told the outlet, “Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital.”

The L.A. Fire Department confirmed to In Touch that the “LAFD responded to a 911 call at 9:30 a.m.” at the 52-year-old’s Sherman Oaks, California, house. The LAFD couldn’t confirm the person’s identity but noted that they were “transported in an ambulance to a nearby hospital.”

Coincidentally, Luke’s medical crisis occurred on the same day that the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot was announced by Fox. Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling and Gabrielle Carteris are set to “play heightened versions of themselves.” The hit show will return this summer with a six-episode “event series.” Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler — who produced the 2012 reboot, 90210 — will be writing and producing the new episodes.

“Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggest it’s time to get a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running,” the official synopsis read. “But getting it going may make for an event more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast — whom the whole world watched grow up together — attempts to continue from where they left off?”

Unfortunately, Luke and Shannen Doherty have not officially signed on for the new project yet. The Ohio native currently plays Archie Andrew’s dad, Fred Andrews, on the CW show Riverdale, hence why he may not be able to appear on the ’90s revival.

However, Tori is hopeful that the hunk will make an appearance. “Luke will do as many [episodes] as he can do,” she revealed on Access Live.

We’re wishing Luke a speedy recovery during this tough time.
