Up, Up and Away! Lawson Bates Shares Lyrics About ‘Flying’ Together After Sparking Courting Rumors With Jana
Up in the air with Lawson Bates! The Bringing Up Bates star enjoyed an afternoon flight and shared lyrics about “flying” together on Friday, August 14, after sparking courtship rumors with Counting On’s Jana Duggar.
Lawson was all smiles in the clip from the adventurous outing and added the song lyrics, “We could float among the stars together / you and I / For we can fly / Up, up and away / My beautiful.”
Lawson obtained his pilot’s license in April, according to his family’s blog, and learned the ropes from his sibling Nathan Bates, who was his co-pilot on August 14. Interestingly, Jana’s twin brother, John David Duggar, also has his pilot’s license, so they could all enjoy the skies together if a relationship between Jana, 30, and Lawson, 28, does come to fruition.
Fans have been rooting for the singer-songwriter and TLC alum to date after seeing his flirty response on her August 12 Instagram photo.
“Please form single line,” read a sign Jana was holding, showing an arrow pointing down at her. She was clearly poking fun at her relationship status and Lawson sounded off in the comments. “Post objective/ Instructions unclear: [Please] explain further,” he wrote, with laughing, thinking and heart emojis.
And this wasn’t the first time fans speculated the two are an item. In January, he cleared the air after the Bates family accidentally “liked” a comment about Jana.
The whole thing started after he shared a photo of himself holding a rose, captioned, “1/24/19,” and one social media user replied, “Please tell me that rose is for Jana.” When the Bates family official Instagram page hit the heart button, the rumor mill began.
“My mom was scrolling through late last night and didn’t realize what she was liking,” he told In Touch. “Meanwhile, Instagram 101 for my mom is now in session.” Around that time, Jana also said she and Lawson were “not a thing.”
In July, Jana revealed she’s “not that worried” about finding her Mr. Right. “Yes, I long to be married and one day I think that will come, but I think … I’m just also just trying to stay busy with whatever comes along my path,” she told Us Weekly.
That same month, Lawson sparked romance rumors yet again when he hung out with The Bachelor alum Heather Martin days before his birthday.
Whether or not he’s dating anyone, Lawson is living it up to the fullest!
