Courtship on the Horizon? Lawson Bates Gets Flirty With ‘Counting On’ Star Jana Duggar

Shooting his shot! Lawson Bates fueled courtship rumors with Counting On star Jana Duggar after he was spotted lurking in her Instagram comments on Wednesday, August 12.

Poking fun at herself for being the oldest Duggar without a ring, the 30-year-old posted a photo of herself holding a sign reading, “Please form single line,” with an arrow. She captioned the funny post with a single megaphone emoji. “Post objective/ Instructions unclear: [Please] explain further,” the Bringing Up Bates star, 28, commented with a crying laughing emoji and a heart.

Although Jana has yet to respond to the kind sentiment, fans were quick to speculate a potential courtship between the two. “Seriously you’d both make the cutest couple,” one user commented, while another added, “Anyone else here think Lawson and Jana should be married.”

This isn’t the first time Jana and Lawson have sparked courtship rumors. In August 2019, Jana hinted her Mr. Right might be “riding in on a green turtle instead of a white horse,” shortly after the country singer posted a photo with a turtle. One month prior, fans noticed Lawson had been traveling to Arkansas quite often and was sending the beauty well-wishes on social media.

After the Bates family accidentally “liked” a comment suggesting the two were courting, Lawson made sure to set the record straight. “My mom was scrolling through late last night and didn’t realize what she was liking,” he told In Touch at the time. “Meanwhile, Instagram 101 for my mom is now in session.” For Jana’s part, she also told fans that she and her family friend are “not a thing.”

Although Lawson might not be the guy for Jana, she’s isn’t “that worried” about finding her true love, she told Us Weekly in July. “Yes, I long to be married and one day I think that will come, but I think … I’m just also just trying to stay busy with whatever comes along my path.”

While Jana admitted she feels “a little more pressure” to settle down because she is the only one out her sisters above age 22 who is not married, she said she is “making the most” of her single life.
