‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Kailyn Lowry Responds to Rumor She Slept With Friend Sterling’s Husband

Kailyn, 27, opened up to fans in a new 11-minute video posted to her YouTube channel. This is where she likes to share details about her life that people don’t get to see while watching her on Teen Mom 2.

Of course, people were enticed when she posted some juicy content with the title “Assumptions About Me.” The reality star addressed many swirling rumors, including the one she “slept” with her pal’s husband. 

Facing Backlash

“I don’t know why I need to address this because I was once told, if it doesn’t apply, let it fly … but the Twitter trolls came after me for this so hard for so long and I’m about to clear this the f–k up,” the MTV alum said. 

Truth Revealed

Kailyn assured fans the answer is 100 percent “no,” and mentioned how Sterling was never even married to her now-ex. 

Relationship Status

“Maybe common law marriage, so they probably called each other husband and wife as like a pet name,” she explained. 

Don’t Get It Twisted

The mother-of-three said his name was Ty, and she never slept with him or was even alone with him. “And quite frankly I’m not even remotely interested in him, so no the f–k I did not sleep with Ty,” Kailyn stated. 

Romance Rumors

The author made it crystal clear, adding, “He and Sterling can both vouch for me on that one.” During the video, Kailyn also responded to the speculation that she and costar, Leah Messer, are together.

“No, we’re not together. We’re just really close and we have done other vacations in the past together and never really filmed them. Now we’re able to put it on social media and they’re filming for it on the show.”

Kailyn was asked to clear up her relationship with Dom as well, but decided to leave that one “where that is. I don’t think I need to get into that,” she added.

No Labels Needed

Another assumption about the TM2 star is that she’s “not sure” about her sexual identity. “I don’t think that I’m not sure. I just think that I don’t label myself,” Kailyn said.

“I don’t think that I’m gay, straight, bisexual. I just think that I love people and I feel like I say that all of the time,” she added, noting how sometimes people feel comfortable with labels and that’s fine too.

One popular presumption about Kailyn and her costars is that they make millions of dollars for starring on the hit reality show, Teen Mom 2.

“No I work just as hard as other people,” she fired back. “Yes, I was given this opportunity to be on TV and I took it upon myself to launch myself in other directions because of it,” Kailyn added. 

Setting the Record Straight

The TV star also discussed how she felt about her portrayal on the show. Kailyn slammed rumors that she “hates” MTV.

Behind-the-Scenes

“I’m thankful for the opportunity. Sometimes, just like in any other job, you get frustrated with where you are at,” she explained. “Sometimes I do feel like I’m treated and portrayed unfairly, but to say I hate MTV would be a lie.”
