Kailyn Lowry Said She Didn’t ‘Want More Kids Right Now’ 3 Months Ahead of Announcing Baby No. 4
She always talked about wanting baby No. 4, but it seems like Kailyn Lowry may have changed her mind around the same time she actually got pregnant again. In an interview with the Domenick Nati Show published on November 1, 2019, the Teen Mom 2 star said that she was done having kids at least for a while. According to her, she wanted to take the next year to focus on herself, not a future son or daughter.
“I always say that I would love to have more kids, I just don’t think that [I will] right now,” Kail, 27, said on the show. “I think that 2020 is for Kail to focus on Kail and kind of just get everything in order before I think about having any more kids.”
As it turns out, however, the MTV mama may have already been pregnant at the time of the interview. When she announced on February 4 that she’s expecting again, she revealed she’s almost 16 weeks along. That puts the date of conception around late October or early November. But becoming pregnant with baby No. 4 isn’t the only way the reality star grew her family around those months. In December 2020, the star also brought home a new dog, another Cane Corso puppy.
Between two dogs and four kids, it seems like Kail is going to have her hands full. Luckily, she’s got plenty of friends who seem to have her back. And for those who aren’t there for her, she had one simple message: Step up or step out. “My friends don’t agree with everything I do, but they support me in life,” she wrote on Twitter on February 5. “If you can’t be supportive, stay the f–k away from me.”
The real question is whether baby daddy Chris Lopez is one of the people helping her through a tough time. Ahead of the 27-year-old’s pregnancy news, Lux’s dad seemed to hint that he and his maybe ex were done. “Please remember that moving on does not mean that I no longer love you,” read a quote he shared on his Instagram Story. “It means that I am no longer hurting. It means that I wish you all the happiness in the world, even if I am no longer going to be a part of it.” Once news broke that he’s the father of baby No. 4, however, their relationship no longer seemed to be so cut and dry.
A few days before her announcement, Kail took the opportunity to slam a hater calling her baby daddy out. And in the wake of the news, Chris has seemed to hint that their second child together is a boy. Sharing a message titled “Letters to My Unborn Child,” the father dedicated it to a “Young King.” Hopefully, now that he’s got a second chance to be there for his baby mama, he’ll take the opportunity to make a different choice than the one he regretted in the past.
