Is… is that a pair of pants, Joy-Anna Duggar?! The Counting On star took to Instagram on Wednesday, Dec. 12, to share several photos in honor of Austin Forsyth‘s 25th birthday, and fans were pretty stoked to see her rockin’ a pair of trousers.

“I surprised Austin with a full day of games, hiking, camping and a babysitter for Gideon (Austin’s Parents)!! We had fun hiking up the cliffs, setting up camp, making supper, sipping on hot Chocolate, and talking by the campfire!” Joy, the romantic, captioned the album. “Let’s do it again, babe!!🖤 🔥🍂🎉🏕⛰💑 Annnddd YES… we have the same hiking boots!!!! 😍😍#happybirthday #25yearsold #camping #datenight.”

That’s honestly adorable. But people seemed to be distracted by the fact that the skirt-wearing star traded in her modest gear for something a bit more, erm, mainstream.

“PANTS,” one eager fan commented on the album, while another explained the rare phenomenon. “I think I have seen her wear skirts over pants like this before, however, since they were out in the woods alone and not out in public, she may have done them by itself.”

OK. OK. Fair assessment.

The last time we recall seeing the 21-year-old in pants was when she went skiing. And no, there wasn’t a skirt over top that time! The new mom hit the slopes in a pair of snow pants during her honeymoon, and it was all caught by TLC cameras.
